Apple Pie/Galette

I got this recipe from a cooking class at A Little Blue House and made a few changes.

For apples, I recommend a mix of 1/2 Granny Smith for tang and 1/2 a sweeter snacking apple of your choice (e.g. Delicious, Gala, McIntire, Honeycrisp)

Instructions
Peel, core and slice the apples.

In large bowl mix everything together. Let sit at least 1 hour in refrigerator. You can also freeze it for use at a later time.

When ready to bake, pour into pie crust. Melt butter and drizzle on top. Put top crust on pie, crimping edges with the bottom crust.

Bake at 375 for ~45-55 minutes or until crust is brown and apple filling is bubbling. You may want to place foil or an extra pan underneath to catch any drips.
