Strut bars will increase the stiffness of your chassis
by connecting the left and right strut towers. I picked the Tenzo
R strut bar which is one of the cheapest ones, about $90. Now that
I've seen it, I think that I should have paid an extra $20 to get
a better one, but that's ok. The Tenzo R bar comes apart which makes
it easier to install, but potentially not as strong.
To install it, first remove the three main nuts on the strut towers. |
Unbolt the bar from the two brackets. Install the appropriate
bracket on each side and re-install the nuts. |
Tighten down the three nuts all the way. |
Slip the strut bar back into the brackets and adjust
the width as necessary. I had to move some of the cables around to
get the bar to fit properly. |

Replace the bolts that connect the bar to the brackets
and tighten them. One side is a nut and the other is a thumb bolt,
which wasn't working too well so I used a vise grip. That should be
it. |
