On 07/10/2004 I attended my second official autocross
event with TSSCC. This time Bob was there and Ben brought Emily along
as well.
Here's a picture of Emily on the right. And below is a nice little
video of Emily chugging along the course. Unfortunately, a large van
blocks view of half the course but you can enjoy the red VW and blue
Prelude that pass by before Emily pops back into view.

Here's a picture of what I look like while I'm driving
with my big helmet covered noggin. I rigged up a tripod in my back
seat and fashioned a steel cable harness to secure it for about $20
at Home Depot.

runs. These were my first three runs, so they're not my best, but
you can see how in run 2 I cut about half a second off my first time,
while in run 3 I had some trouble.

* I'm pretty sure the official results are incorrect, due to some
timing problems during the 7th run. They originally gave me a time
of 37.x which is WAY too fast for me. Then they said 40.117 (underlined),
but I'm pretty sure my time for the 7th run was 44.1 or so.
** I believe this is my actual best time which would place me 16th
in Street Tire class and 60th overall. Here's a picture of the trophy
that I apparently didn't deserve. Oh well. |
