Oh, I forgot to tell you about my airport adventures this weekend! So I was supposed to have a 2:54 out of LAX direct to DTW. Well, my itinerary said terminal 3, but we had passed it, so I walked form terminal 4 to 3, where they told me to go back to terminal 4. I was in the AAdvantage Gold line, but it still took 30 minutes to get to the counter where they had just locked out baggage for my flight, so I ended up being assigned to a different flight that connected through St. Louis.

I ended up in St. Louis, but they couldn't guarantee me a seat so I was on standby and called my parents to tell them I might need a place to stay. I started to think that I would rather stay at home for a night and fly to DTW in the morning, but I just managed to make the flight and had to tell my parents I wouldn't be able to visit. :(

On the plane I met a nice couple. They overheard me calling my mom to tell her I wasn't coming home and they felt sad for me b/c they had a 25 year old son themselves who also travelled a lot! It was good talking to them and they recomended a bunch of restaurants in the Detroit area, so I'll have to check some of those out this week.

I finally arrive at DTW around 12:30 am, unfortunately, it wasn't until 1:00 that the luggage started to come in so it was almost 2:00 when I finally got to the hotel. Phew! I'm ready for bed!
