These guys are from Britain and I really enjoyed their style. The two of them played off each other well as they worked three different recipes at the same time while also teaching us some other tips and techniques in between. There was a little confusion due to lack of tools and fitting the two chefs and a volunteer in the demonstration area. However, I think it was good because it kind of gave you a feel for how restaurants work when you've got to serve a bunch of people (16 students) and things get confusing or hectic. That's when you notice things like using fingers to test food temperatures, but that's real life (try watching Waiting where some of the stuff they show actually happens at restaurants). The only problem is that all the things they made were English desserts: very tasty but very unhealthy... I enjoyed it so much I'm considering a culinary retreat package. It's a bit pricey, but it includes accomodations, English Afternoon Tea, Wine and Hors d'oeuvres, Gourmet Dinner, Overnight Accommodations, Full Breakfast, Hands-on Cooking Class and a 3-course Luncheon. Plus, since I'd be staying down here, I could charge the hotel portion as alternate travel. That'd be fun...
